Jim Farnam formed the consulting firm of Farnam Associates, LLC in October 2010. Jim was a partner in the New Haven-based firm Holt, Wexler & Farnam, LLP from 1989 until its restructuring in 2010. Prior to 1989, he worked for the City of New Haven as Director of Downtown and Harbor Development.

At HWF, Jim worked with a wide range of clients: from neighborhood organizations to nonprofits, foundations and state agencies. That work included, among other things, identifying client opportunities; planning new initiatives; and conducting complex, multi-party planning processes.
